This session will provide human resources professionals with tools to build important coalitions, rise above power plays, cruise through interpersonal conflicts, get buy-in on programs and projects and influence outcomes. By changing your perspective on politics, and using your network, you can dramatically improve your opportunities for recognition and advancement for you and your department.

Mark Richards brings a unique blend of human resources and marketing experience to this session. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Washington and master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He is currently an adjunct professor and community relations coordinator for Webster University. Mark earned his SPHR in 1991 and has been a speaker at industry human resources conferences for over a decade.
