Many organizations have strong diversity and inclusion initiatives as their commitment to a more open and accepting environment.  Now it is time to take a deeper look at the issues and explore how implicit bias works, how it can create inequitable structures and what actions organizations can take to eliminate it.

In this interactive session we hope to accomplish the follow objectives:

    ·      Understand the concept of implicit bias.

    ·      Understand how racial oppression can become institutionalized.

    ·      Understand specific steps organizations do to move to equality.

Traci Ellis is an attorney, HR and diversity, equity and inclusion executive. Her career has been an exciting mix of law firm, corporate, government, non-profit, and self-employment. In her work she has always been in pursuit of mission-driven organizations where employees thrive and a world free from discrimination and harassment based on race, sex, gender, national origin, color and all the other ways in which we diminish each other. Creating a vibrant, equitable and radically inclusive organizational culture is key.

As a frequent keynote speaker and workshop facilitator, she focuses on strategic approaches to dismantling systemic and structural racism, and the intersection of race, law and politics.
