IL FV SHRM Chapter VP Programs

    VP PROGRAMS

     

    Position Summary:

     

                Research, locate and confirm speakers for monthly membership meetings and other events.

     

    Responsible To:

     

    The members of the chapter

    The chapter president

    State council professional development director

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    ·         Provide information regarding potential speakers and topics at monthly board meetings

    ·         Coordinate efforts with other chapters and members of boards of directors to best serve the membership.

    ·         Contact potential speakers and make arrangements for monthly meetings including AV needs, handouts and other needs of the speaker.

    ·         Review chapter bylaws with speakers concerning solicitation of members.

    ·         Provide VP of Programs Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Member Benefits Director with outline, bio and picture of speaker as soon as available.

    ·         Review final preparations for meetings to assure that programs run smoothly.

    ·         Review program evaluations for feedback to be used in planning future events.

    ·         Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the chapter.

    ·         Represent the chapter in the human resources community.

    ·         Attend all monthly membership and board of directors meetings.
