Our high tech world has millions of people visiting social networking sites every day. Ms. Jayne has tapped this pool as a valuable resource for talent acquisition. She will graciously share her experience and knowledge using social media for recruiting, and guide us through a live demonstration of three of the most popular sites: Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. Attendees will be able to add this exciting and low or no cost recruiting tool to their Human Resources tool boxes.
Bio
Susan has 15+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience, hiring candidates in a variety of industries including retail, instructional design, logistics, assessment and measurement, chemical engineering and financial services. She is passionate about networking, making connections and making a great match between candidate and employer. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of their Student SHRM Chapter.
She has expertise in behavioral interviewing, candidate relationship management, specialized sourcing techniques, campus recruiting the use of social networking for recruiting.
She is currently a senior recruiter, Talent Acquisition, with Starbucks Coffee Company. She has been SPHR certified since 2000, has been a member of the Illinois Fox Valley SHRM Chapter since its inception, and is currently serving as co-chair of the chapter’s Diversity Committee.
