This session will touch on potential employer liabilities and proactive strategies for training and prevention aimed at promoting workplace wellness.


    How to Terminate the Problem Employee and Avoid Litigation

    Problem employees are usually headaches that never go away unless and until management steps in. This session offers "tried and true" recommendations and "tips" to effectively terminate the problem employee while avoiding litigation (or, at least, diminishing risks).


    Electronic Data Storage: How to Secure Employee Data and Guard Against Breaches

    This session focuses on how to keep employment records secure, protecting electronic systems, establishing protocols when terminating employees, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, and what to do if your company does experience a data breach.


    Immigration Update: Increased ICE Audits - How to Plan for and Address Them and Best Practices for Form I-9 Compliance

    As ICE ramps up workplace audits, it is important for employers to review their Form I-9 policies and procedures. This session discusses proper Form I-9 completion, preparation for and responding to ICE Form I-9 audits and what to expect, and do if ICE visits your workplace.
