While many organizations have issued statements on the recent events, now it's time for them to take further positive action. It is not enough to work just on diversity and inclusion but organizations must also look at internal structures and practices to identify barriers to racial equity and come up with and implement action plans to eliminate them. 

Traci Ellis, a chapter member, and Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Equity Officer at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, will give a talk on her recommendations to employers on best practices in the equity field.

This session will last approximately 30 minutes.
