Opening Remarks
Sue welcomed everyone and introductions were made.
Board Reports
Dave - reported that the chapter is in good standing from a financial standpoint
Yvonne – Membership is currently at 63 members. Membership renewal packets going out next week
Carol – no update on certification testing
Judie – all 2013 meeting information is posted on the website
Sandy – no update on community outreach
Lisa – told all members that invitations for the 2012 Holiday party would be sent out soon

Dave reported that the chapter is in good standing from a financial standpoint and that he is working n the 2013 budget
Lisa announced a joint meeting that will be a half day session in February 2013
Sandi reported that she is working on a new charity to work with for 2013
Judie reported on our website updates and asked all members to go to the website for the latest information.
Carol reported on the dates for the certification program testing

Opening Remarks
Sue welcomed everyone and introductions were made.
Board Reports
Dave reported that the chapter is in good standing from a financial standpoint.
Yvonne updated everyone on membership status.
Sue mentioned that our Member Christmas party is set for December 11 at Hilton Garden Hotel in St. Charles.
Judie reported that the website will be updated with the Christmas party information.
Sandi updated everyone on Poised for Success program and asked for more winter clothing.
The ballot for 2013 was introduced and all new board members did a short presentation about themselves, their background and why they would like to serve on the board. Votes were cast and the new line up for 2013 is as follows:

Sue announced that we are still looking to fill board positions and that Karla Dobbeck and Mark Richards had stepped down from their positions.

Lisa G gave an update on upcoming programs – might be shifting a couple due to healthcare reform.
Judie reported on our website updates and asked everyone to complete the survey and offer testimonials for the website.
Rebecca gave a brief update on healthcare reform.

The program was presentation on conflict management by Laura McAdams and Linda Thomas.
Linda Wemple sponsored our meeting today by presenting her company of Strategic Essentials..

Opening Remarks
Sue welcomed everyone and introductions were made.
Sue announced that we are still looking to fill board positions and to contact Sue directly if interested.
Martha Ramirez, SHRM’s Field Service Director was introduced. Martha explained the partnership between SHRM and the chapter. She encouraged everyone to attend the August Annual event in Atlanta as well informed everyone that next year’s event will be in Chicago.
Sue asked members to reach out to her if they are interested in going to Atlanta to use the benefit of a 5 people discount.

Sue welcomed everyone and introductions were made.
Sue announced that Cara was leaving her position as Secretary and we are looking for a replacement for her position as well as Gingers position in workforce development, and a diversity leader. All jobs are posted on our website.

Dave reported that the chapter is in good standing from a financial standpoint.
Karla reported her involvement with ISO and asked that all members contribute to the discussions via Linked in. SHRM US TAG is working on those initiatives
Lisa G gave an update on upcoming programs.
Sandy reported on the status of Poised for Success and asked for more clothing donations.
Judie reported on our website updates and asked everyone to go there for the latest information.
Carol reported on a certification program available through NIU.

Opening Remarks
Sue welcomed everyone and introductions were made.
Sue announced that Stephanie was leaving her position as Chapter Admin and we are looking for a replacement to work 12-15 hours per month.
SPHR/PHR testing is coming up 5/1 – 6/30. See SHRM website for dates, location and costs.
Board Reports
Dave reported that the chapter is in good standing from a financial standpoint.
Karla/Yvonne reported that we currently are doing a demographic survey and 35 have responded thus far.
Lisa reported that Health Care Reform is the topic for March. Any suggestions for future topics should be directed to her.
Mark reported that Cell Phones for Soldiers initiative is still going on.
The sponsor of our meeting today, Jim Bender from Graebel Relocation, did a brief overview of their services.

The program was OSHA Inspections and was presented by Kathy Webb, the Area Director for OSHA.
