    Legal Update: Disability, Pregnancy and Religious Accommodations in the Workplace 

    Federal and state laws require us to make accommodations for employees with disabilities, for employees who are pregnant, and for employees’ religious beliefs and practices.  Yet, many remain confused on exactly what the law requires, including how to properly identify and handle accommodation requests.  In this revealing presentation by the Management Association’s Senior Employment Counsel, Sonal A. Shah, you’ll learn the essentials of the law, including who it applies to, what you can ask of your employees, what you’re required to do in terms of accommodation, and what you can say to the employee in question and others in the workplace.  Through real life case examples, you’ll discover how to properly handle accommodation requests to ensure legal compliance and avoid potential liability.
