VP Programs
Position Summary:
Research, locate and confirm speakers for monthly membership meetings and other events.
Responsible To:
The members of the chapter
The chapter president
State council professional development director
Responsibilities:
- Provide information regarding potential speakers and topics at monthly board meetings
- Coordinate efforts with other chapters and members of boards of directors to best serve the membership.
- Contact potential speakers and make arrangements for monthly meetings including AV needs, handouts and other needs of the speaker.
- Review chapter bylaws with speakers concerning solicitation of members.
- Provide VP of Programs Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Member Benefits Director with outline, bio and picture of speaker as soon as available.
- Review final preparations for meetings to assure that programs run smoothly.
- Review program evaluations for feedback to be used in planning future events.
- Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the chapter.
- Represent the chapter in the human resources community.
- Attend all monthly membership and board of directors meetings.
